Motorsport Safety Foundation Grants Level II Certification to Audi Club North America – Golden Gate Chapter’s HPDE Instructor Training Program
MIAMI, FL (February 27, 2018) – The Golden Gate Chapter of Audi Club North America has achieved Level II certification in the Motorsport Safety Foundation’s High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) instructor training initiative, CERTIFIED. Audi Club North America is the largest Audi club in the world, and its Golden Gate Chapter serves nearly 1,000 members in Northern California and Western Nevada.
"We worked closely with the Motorsport Safety Foundation to ensure that our instructor training program met MSF's high standards,” said Paul Jorgensen, Instructor Coordinator for Audi Club’s Golden Gate Chapter. “We're very pleased that our program is now CERTIFIED, and we look forward to working with MSF to increase the level of skill and professionalism of our instructor team."
The CERTIFIED program was established to improve the standards and operations of HPDE schools, instructor training programs and instructors in order to provide a safer and better quality experience for all involved. The nonprofit believes it is important that all instructors work from the same baseline, and continue their training at an Instructor Training School (ITS) that offers a curriculum that covers, at a minimum, the standards outlined by the Motorsport Safety Foundation.
Audi Club’s Golden Gate Chapter hosts numerous events throughout the year, including driving skills events, driving tours, and concourse events held at world-class racetracks like Laguna Seca and Sonoma Raceway. The organization gives back to the community each year with its annual Teen Driver Safety Clinic. Golden Gate joins the Southern California Chapter as the second Audi Club North America group to be CERTIFIED by the Motorsport Safety Foundation.
