I'm Bill Wade and I'm representing the BMW Car Club of America. I've been a CCA member for 30 years and I've been involved in the Drivers School community for 25 of those. I've served as our chapters Chief Instructor for over 10 years. We have hosted HPDE's at Putnam Park and currently host schools at the National Corvette Museum Motorsport Park. I have instructed for schools with the PCA, ACNA, Corvette Museum and private entities.
I served as the Chair of the National Driving Events Committee for the BMW Club for 8 years stepping down this past January. I'm still on the NDEC focusing on our Instructor Training.
My day job is the National Program Director of the Tire Rack Street Survival program, a one day teen driving school. The schools are facilitated by chapters of the BMW Car Clubs of America and Canada, the Porsche Club of America, Audi Club of North America, the Sports Car Club of America, the National Council of Corvette Clubs, the National Corvette Museum and other auto enthusiast clubs where a trained volunteer instructor base can be utilized. We will do over 100 schools again for the 3rd year in a row.
While I have not raced I have been involved in the BMW CCA Club racing program.
I'm here to help the MSF with any questions that may come up about the BMW CCA motorsport programs. HPDE's, Club Racing, Autocrosses, whatever. My passion is performance driving and I love to introduce people to the sport. As new cars get faster and the access to track time gets easier we need to be sure that people are learning in the safest and most complete way possible.
Let me know if you have questions!
