Motorsport Safety Foundation Grants Level II Certification to Audi Club North America - Southern California Chapter’s HPDE Instructor Training Program
The Motorsport Safety Foundation has given the Southern California Chapter of Audi Club North America Level II status in its HPDE driving instructor training initiative, CERTIFIED. Audi Club North America is the largest Audi club in the world, and its Southern California chapter serves Audi enthusiasts from San Diego to Santa Barbara, Southern Nevada and Hawaii.
“When Audi Club SoCal first learned of the Motorsport Safety Foundation’s CERTIFIED program through our chapter’s close relationship with Ross Bentley, we immediately recognized the importance to both our chapter and instructors of a nationally recognized instructor training and certification program,” said Bill Vogel, Director and HPDE Chairman for the Southern California Chapter of Audi Club North America.
The motorsport safety nonprofit’s latest initiative defines a path for the selection, training, and certification of high performance driving instructors and training programs. Participation in the CERTIFIED program will positively improve the standards and operations of HPDE schools, instructor training programs, and instructors.
“The CERTIFIED program’s emphasis on best practices, standardization, and recurrent training is closely aligned with Audi Club’s goal of conducting the best possible driver training for our members,” said Vogel. “Our chapter has learned that when our students combine online training at home with our already strong classroom program at the event, they do exceptionally well.
“The Motorsport Safety Foundation’s CERTIFIED program will help Audi Club SoCal provide our instructors with the same high quality of training,” Vogel continued. “Dave Parker, Advanced Driver and Instructor Trainer, and Alex Whitney, Chief Driving Instructor, have been instrumental in growing and developing our advanced training programs. We are very proud that Audi Club SoCal’s Instructor training program meets the high standards required for MSF Level II certification.”
The Motorsport Safety Foundation and Audi Club’s Southern California Chapter believe in the importance of providing a safer and better quality experience for both performance driving students and their instructors.
