The Empire State Region (ESR) of the Ferrari Club of America has become the most recent High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) organization to achieve Level II classification in the Motorsport Safety Foundation’s driving instructor training program, CERTIFIED. This is another feather in the cap for the Empire State Region, which has earned positive acclaim from enthusiasts throughout the HPDE community for its track events at world-famous circuits like Watkins Glen International and Lime Rock Park.
“The instructors of the Ferrari Club of America's Empire State Region are committed to providing the highest quality of instruction and experience for their students,” stated ESR Watkins Glen International Chief Instructor Chris Vorce. “Our instructors are invaluable assets to the region, and have consistently confirmed their dedication to safe driver development. With Motorsport Safety Foundation Level II certification, the Empire State Region's Instructor Training Program can sustain and calibrate its instructor base while continuing to offer exceptional instructional input for all its HPDE participants.”
The region will continue to certify new driving instructors according to the Motorsport Safety Foundation’s national standards for instructor training. “Having MSF certification elevates the Empire State Region’s track program,” said Track Chair Bob Coates.
The Ferrari Club of America's Empire State Region joins other respected CERTIFIED HPDE organizers, including Chin Track Days and the Rally Sport Region of the Porsche Club of America, which pledge to stay at the forefront of motorsport safety. Each of these organizations is committed to ensuring their students experience maximum enjoyment within the safest guidelines, and the Motorsport Safety Foundation is proud to partner with them.
